about time to update this blog. we had 3 tests this week, and to add more stress to our life, we had photoshop assignments to pass up and stupid flash exercise to hand in. the first 2 tests were great for me. greater than what i had expected especially networking. it was somewhat weird for me that the lecturer was telling the class to look for me if they had problem with networking because usually it was derrick's job. the grade was prolly fluke just because i just did what i thought was right and turned out that it was right. hope i didn't confuse you there.
the last test, photoshop, was prolly the one test in my whole entire of poly life that i had pressure with. it was a dreadful one and half hour. my mind was blank like fuck when i saw the paper which stated that we needed to make a DVD Cover with the topic of Diploma in Engineering Informatics. the lamest ever topic they could have ever come up with. i was sitting at the very back of the class with ah seng. during the test, my eyes were scrolling around the classmate's works and i was in awe with the stuff they could come up with. and when i saw mine, i felt so amateurish or even worse than that. the more that i saw their work, the more inferior i felt. the first 30 minutes, i was looking for DVD covers in yahoo images which was total waste of time cause in the end of the day it was unuseful. the next 30 minutes i was looking for pictures. i did get alot but it was a total waste of time too cause in the end of the day i only used 2. i started to do my test at the last 30 mins. oh boy, time sure flied very fast. after the test, my stress level was reaching the peak but thanks to ah seng and his ciggy, it helped in every way believe it or not.
after that, me and uds met midah again for the umpteenth week. friday is officially "meet-midah" day. it was fun as usual. did crazy stuffs, laughed over stupid things and talked craps most of the time. the crappiest moment : we imporsanate as band while songs were playing in the background. moi as the blind keyboard player. uds as the kerok-eyed guitarist and midah as mad tambourine player.
i must admit this whole getting old and waiting for school to finish stuff is really starting to get to me. just think - there are only 9 months until i leave poly. fuck yes. i'm really excited about this as i want to have as much fun possible while making enough money to keep myself happy but not stressed. i'm just dead worried that i'll end up working a 9-5 job. deadness and boredness ensue.
the future scares me. i'm afraid to see what we will all become a few years from now. it's a place of the unknown. and not knowing scares me sometimes. though i'd hate the think ahead, there are somethings i expect. somethings i know i cannot prevent. the future is out of my hands. out of our hands. it's out of reach, its vague. i have a feeling no matter how hard i'm going to try to prevent it, that i am going to live one of the most typical life you could ever imagine. i'll get a typical decent job, end up marrying someone decent, have 2 decent kids, live in a medium class white house, drive a medium class car, do the typical boring everyday repetitive thing for 50 years, and die a typical death. i think that's so sad. i find no joy in that. the intended life is to get a job that i like, like own a bookshop, be a bartender, be a fucking writer, own a mall, be fucking celebrities or anything like that! date a hot girl, live in a beautiful house in a big city away from Singapore or Indonesia, each room a different color filled with Ikea products, drive a Mini Cooper, attend lotsa fancy parties like they do on the O.C., travel the whole damn world, and die the least typical life of all. and this is the difference between reality and a fantasy.
btw, uds is editing a new blog skin for me. viva uds. *worships*
