came back from shanghai last tuesday night. it was actually a great trip. much better than i've ever expected. this is a lot coming from someone who doesn't like CHINA, except Hong Kong which is not exactly part of China. i did not really shop there, so pardon me for not bringing back any gift for each of you.
i don't know whether you know this but i'm gonna tell you anyway that bicycling is one of the most ubiquitous form of transportation in Shanghai. there are many streets that have bicycle lanes which is pretty cute.

the weather, when i was at shanghai, was pretty cold. around 8 degree to 15ish. which is why i love it even more because i got to wear my winter clothings which would rot soon if i did not start wearing 'em.

(posing in the room before going out)
since i was there for only 4 days, there weren't really anything much to do.
first day :
touched down at about 6AM, my friend and her friend fetched us from the airport. went back her place which is super cosy. showed me my room. settled for a bit and then went off to the temple to have the infamous "xiao long bao". there were many people so we had to wait for the food for pretty long. but it was worth it because they tasted god damn good! then we walked around the temple areas. lots of tourists! went back home and chit chatted until we dozed off. at night, we went for a little massage before going for dinner, shanghainese food. we ordered a lot of stuffs, fish, prawns, chicken and all of them did not even cost more than 30 bucks SG$. then, we headed off to go-karting. it was fun, but i was dead cold. i wore shorts and the weather was already cold plus the wind was really strong when go-karted. i was literally trembling on the spot lol. after that, we headed to club and i was still wearing shorts. i stood out in a way haha. drinks, dance, girls. normal clubbing night.

second day :
woke up pretty late. had late breakfast. then headed to the bus station. the ideas of watching the animals parading around does not really interest me. it's a stupid way to spend your money and time. but, i was forced to go anyway to see the wild life animals which is pretty similar to safari but lamer version. some of the animals look dead and lifeless. before reaching the place, we had to take one and half hour bus ride. meh. that was really boring. upon reaching, we had to sit on the bus to sight see the animals and unfortunately, i did not manage to sit at the window side which means, some of the pictures turned out to be fug.

the panda, though, is superly cute. the pics are again fug because it kept on moving around and is kept inside a glass cage.

and here's a little video of the super cute panda which i named, PANSHIT!
after that, we took cab, heading to the tallest building in shanghai ever. it was actually HYATT hotel. the lobby of the hotel is at 54th floor! then we headed to the 87th floor for some late afternoon tea. the view outside was sick! stuffs there were pretty expensive, but considering the place was really high class, it was quite reasonable. then we took the ferry to cross the sea or whatever and had my first even fine dining! it was AWESOME! they serve small quantity but taste like heaven food. we chatted. enjoyed the food and the wine. when the bill came, i was shocked at how much cheaper it is compared to singapore's. we walked a little bit more to see-see some stuffs and headed to another massage before heading home.

third day.
woke up pretty late, so when we headed out it was almost 3pm. had late lunch and then it was shopping day for the girls. like i said, i didn't really get anything much, even for myself. clothings there are not that cheap. but anyway, we walked to a long stretch of road which basically are all shops. walked and walked and walked. then had another late afternoon tea. headed to the third massage. dinner and went back home to watch dvd and chit chat.

forth day.
pretty much did nothing that day. woke up, had breakfast, watchd dvds, packed up, headed to airport. plane was delayed. a looong way home. singapore.
that's all for the update today. hope you enjoy it.
